Job Title: Transport Officer & Office Assistant (1)
Location: Dar es Salaam
Contract: 2 years Fixed Term
Reporting to: Administration Officer

Principle Accountability
Under the supervision of Administration Officer, Transport officer and office assistant is responsible for safely driving office vehicle, keeping records and ensures vehicle routine maintenance is carried out on schedules. Transport Officer will be also responsible for inspecting the vehicle on daily basis to ensure that it is clean, undamaged and it is working properly.

CAMFED Tanzania is looking to recruit Transport Officer & Office Assistant (1).
Specific Accountabilities
· Drive vehicle in various districts in Tanzania.
· Always maintain defensive driving plus briefing passengers on safety practices prior to each trip.
· Keeping vehicle maintenance records and ensures that, routine maintenance is carried out as per schedule.
· Maintains accurate, up to date records on trip sheets, fuel purchases, incident reports, vehicle condition reports and other records that are requested from management.
· Serves as a positive role model while providing transportation services to staff.
· Reviews daily staff vehicle requests with the Administration Officer and finalizes the transport and maintenance schedule. Reports any deviations from the approved schedule to help ensure staff requests are met or alternative arrangements are made.
· Inspects the vehicle daily to ensure it is clean, undamaged, and in good working condition. Reports any damage or mechanical issues to the Administration Officer both verbally and in writing.
· Delivers office documents, mail, and other items by car to vendors, partners, and customers as assigned.
· Collects and dispatches letters and parcels, records all incoming mail in the logbook, and distributes items to the relevant officers under the supervision of the line manager.
· Maintains accurate fuel records and reports any shortages before the start of each journey.
Office assistant duties:
· Process admin requisitions, support preparation of meetings, support as receptionist from time to time.
· Photocopying, sorting, and collating related office documents.
· Ensuring the stationery store and all stationery stock are well arranged and in attractive manner.
· Supports office errands as assigned.
· Other duties as assigned from time to time.
· Promotion, implementation, observance, and adherence with CAMFED Procurement Policy, and other policies as guided by the organization.
Person Specification
Essential:
Holder of at least Form IV Certificate.
Desired Skills and Experience
· Holders of at least Form IV Certificate.
· Must have a valid Class A, B, D, E driving license.
· Must have certificate from either VETA or National Institute of Transportation (NIT)
· Having driving experience of at least five (5) years from reputable organizations.
· Must be fluent in both written and spoken English and Swahili languages
· Computer literate.
· Not above 40 years of age
· Must be Tanzanian citizen.
