Job Title: Regional Programmes Officer
Accountable to: Programme Manager
Coverage: Central Province
Location: Kabwe
Job Purpose:
The RPO will oversee the Programme in Central Province in the current districts – Kabwe, Mumbwa,Serenje,Chisamba,Chitambo,Chibombo, Luano, Kapiri Mposhi,Mkushi,Ngabwe and Shibuyunji and work with the Provincial Education Officer (PEO) and District Education Board Secretaries (DEBS) within the province. She/He will support the operations of CAMFED District Programme Officers (CDPOs) and CAMFED District Committees (CDCs) to ensure timely implementation of program interventions across the province.
Specific Accountabilities:
· Provide oversight for implementation of CAMFED activities in Central Province by supporting CDPOs to work closely with CAMFED District Committees (CDCs), School Based Committees (SBCs), Teacher Mentors (TMs), Mother Support Groups (MSGs) and CAMA to ensure timely implementation, retirement of funds, reporting and efficiency in the execution of all CAMFED activities in the province.
· Provide timely updates to the PEO on CAMFED programs.
· Ensure CDPOs are supported to implement all activities timely and according to budget. Ensuring retirements are also done timely.
· Support CDPOs to engage CDCs in organizing CDC meetings and District level workshops.
· Conduct support visits to CDPOs and monitor progress against set targets.
· Keep provincial records of schools, Teacher Mentors, LGs, TGs, CAMA membership, CAMA businesses, CAMA and community Philanthropy.
· Support CDPOs to ensure that clients know and get their entitlements on time and that new clients receive welcome letters.
· Grow CAMA membership and ensure that CAMA records are up to date.
· Support CDPOs to support initiatives by CDC, CAMA, Mother Support Groups/Parent Support Groups and Teacher Mentors.
· Ensure that schools are complying with the National and CAMFED Child Protection and Safeguarding Criteria.
· Ensure that all programme records are in place and updated regularly at provincial level.
· Build and strengthen the capacity of community structures (CDCs, RTs, TMs, SBCs, CAMA members and MSGs) to monitor girls’ welfare and deliver the CAMFED programme.
· Manage resources and ensure that community structures operate in line with CAMFED’s principles and codes of practice.
· Supervise and mentor CAMFED District Programme Officers and CAMFED provincial interns.
